The ICOM Estonian National Committee was established on November 16, 1992. There were already 5 ICOM members, 6 new members were accepted at the foundation meeting and a management board was elected in the following composition: Toomas Tamla (chairman), Tõnis Lukas (deputy chairman), Katrin Savomägi (secretary), Karin Hallas (member).

The number of members of the ICOM Estonian National Committee is 86 as of 2005.
