The Art Museum of Estonia (AME), founded in 1919 has during the years grown into an institution that consists of various branches: Kadriorg Art Museum, Niguliste Museum, Adamson-Eric Museum and Kristjan Raud House Museum. In February 2006 the Art Museum of Estonia opened in Kadriorg a first purpose-built museum in Estonia – Kumu, the new main building of AME.
